Why Creators Need to Always Make Moves – Even When You Don’t Know Where You’re Going

If you’re a Creator, here’s the brutal truth…

Markets are in the 🚽.

Mass layoffs are happening every day.

It isn’t easy to see the forest through the trees.

Here’s why it’s vital to make moves even when unsure of where you’re going.

People tend to overthink things – myself included. We want to have everything planned out before we take our first step. This is procrastination. It’s analysis paralysis.

And here’s the thing…

No one knows the future.

It’s impossible to plan precisely what’ll happen. Most people have no idea what they want to do. Life is the journey of perpetually trying to figure it out.

And spoiler alert…

You’ll never figure it out.

Please take a peek at my story…

I’m an attorney turned creative. I’ve done almost everything under the sun within the creative realm.

I now create a shit ton of Web3 written and video content.

But do I have a master plan?

Is every move I make a part of a brilliant strategy to take me from point A to point B?

All I know is the following:

• I enjoy writing,

• I enjoy making videos,

• I’m good at both,

• I’m obsessed with Web3/Entertainment, and

• Building a personal brand is important.

And instead of endlessly analyzing how to put the pieces together, I get to work.

I’m not saying that strategy isn’t necessary. Because it is. But instead of staring at a wall until you figure things out, start making moves.

Be about that action.

Don’t be someone life happens to, be someone life happens for.

It’s easy to get into a routine of:

• Reading books.

• Planning.

• Hypothesizing.

• Reaching out to people for their opinions.

That’s not the way, my friend. You need to break that routine and get to work.

But, even with that said…

Taking a step back and looking at your life and career from a macro perspective is essential.

But you can do both.

You can strategize AND make moves at the same time.

Have I figured things out yet?

But I’m going to keep making moves and figuring it out.

Cheers to that!
